Karl Shoemark

“Karl is from Somerset in the south west of England and after returning back from driving Route 66 in October 2014 he developed an ear for all things country music as it provided the soundtrack for over 2,448 miles of the mother road.

Before this, Karl’s gramps would play country records from the likes of Willie Nelson, Fleetwood Mac, Dolly Parton & The Wurzels on the backroad drives to the beaches of the south west on a Sunday.  This was an early influence in his musical journey and them ‘twangs’, guitars and songwriters stories were locked in at an early age.

Karl has a National Diploma in Music Technology and has been DJing since the age of 15 where he was prominent in the local club scene, later he started with local community station Glastonbury FM where the music & format of his show changed from dance, hip hop & UK garage to Country in January 2015.

Karl is a festival fan with Glastonbury a few fields away & he has attended C2C, Buckle & Boots, End Of The Road & Rock N Ribs, tying this is with tours of Jesse Daniel, Ashley McBryde, Joe Nichols, Brothers Osborne, Midland and more, Karl is a huge fan of a good old country party with a blend of traditional, Texas & Nashville country.
