CMR Nashville Launches Photo Gallery on Web site
CMR Nashville launches a new section on their web site with a Photo Gallery. Lee Williams travelled to Nashville earlier in the year along with Brigid Coady and Richard Alen to interview artists, and many of these photos are featured along with photos from the launch party last November and the recent Americana Festival. Further events will be added, and listeners are requested to send in their favourite country music moments for a gallery dedicated to them.
More star names appear on CMR Nashville. This Monday 30 July there will be a 90 minute Ricky Skaggs Bluegrass Special to coincide with his UK tour. The show broadcasts at 12.30 pm, 6.30 pm. 00.30 am and 6.30 am on 30/31 July with a further repeat on Sat 4 August at 12.30 pm and 10.30 pm. Chuck Mead from BR549 is the special guest host with Tim Rogers on Classic Country again Monday at 4 pm, 10 pm, 4 am, 10 am, with a repeat on Sunday 5 August at 8 pm.
CMR Nashville are opening a new Country Music venue at Jags in Ascot, Berks every Wednesday starting 10 October. Maverick magazine with be sponsoring the nights and will feature Americana/singer-songwriters on some evenings, and larger bands once a month. All acts interested to contact lee@cmrnashville.net. The Academy Club in Basingstoke continues on 31 August with a tribute to Kenny Rogers from Paladin. George Hamilton !V and Tony Goodacre appear on 28 September. www.academyclubs.com
