Brenda Lee Donates Memorabilia to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

28/07/2010

Brenda Lee has donated her collection of memorabilia to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, following the closing of a 10-month exhibit dedicated to her achievements. The collection includes stage costumes, vintage photos, magazine cover stores in many languages, awards, show posters, advertisements, personal letters, a Brenda Lee comic book and paper doll set, and a trove of career-spanning audio and video documenting her life and career. The collection was enhanced by accompanying gifts from her friend and longtime fan, Pat O'Leary. During its run, Lee brought visiting friends and family to the museum at least once a week to see the exhibit, often surprising the museum's tourists. Lee was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1997.
