PLENTY OF MOVEMENT BUT IT'S STILL DOUBLE TOP FOR HAYLEY OLIVER
The Hayley Oliver Band from Britain have consolidated their number 1 position on both the main and the British & Irish Hotdisc charts this week to fend off the opposition and spend a second week at number 1 in the Hotdisc Top 40 as well as a third week on the homegrown list.
The six piece band from London have only been together just over a year and in that time have landed an unblemished record of three straight number ones with three singles. They currently hold down the top two positions in the chart of the year so far with "Another Lonely Night" leading the way for the Hotdisc Track of the Year award as part of the prestigious inaugural British Country Music Awards to be announced in October. They spent six weeks at the summit with that song, but are on course to trump that with the current single, "I'm A Little Bluer Than That." Meanwhile you can see the video for their latest chart topper by clicking through to our Hotdisc TV channel from our home page.
In a static top three this week, T Graham Brown and Randy Thompson are not far behind the pace set by the Londoners, while Harry Stinson (4), Miss Lucie Diamond (6) and Pete Redfern (9) all continue to climb inside the Top 10. Other significant climbers are Ronnie Baker's latest offering at 11, The Red Hot Poker Dots at 13 and the biggest mover from Mexican Joe Walker, who is up 5 at 14 this week. Incidentally, Joe, who hails from Ireland, has a new website and is available at www.mexicanjoewalker.com
