C2C INTRODUCES BROTHERS OSBORNE, CAM, CANAAN SMITH AND CHARLIE WORSHAM HEADLINE SHOWS ANNOUNCED ACROSS LONDON AND THE UK FOLLOWING COUNTRY TO COUNTRY 2017
To follow Country to Country Festival 2017, some of the hottest up-and-coming new American acts – Brothers Osborne, Cam, Canaan Smith and Charlie Worsham will be headlining intimate shows across London and touring across the UK as part of C2C Introduces.
To follow their main stage appearance at C2C2017 on Sunday 12th March, Brothers Osborne will headline their own date at London’s Dingwalls on Monday 13th. EMI Records Nashville's Brothers Osborne comprises John and TJ Osborne. They released their highly anticipated debut album, Pawn Shop (co-produced by them with the award-winning Jay Joyce) early in 2016 and earned their first ever GRAMMY nomination for their Top 5 hit "Stay A Little Longer". The RIAA Gold-certified tune continues to garner critical acclaim with Rolling Stone applauding the "epic and inspired picking that identify the Maryland natives as one of Nashville's best."
Also succeeding her highly anticipated appearance across the C2C 2017 weekend CAM headlines a show at the intimate Bush Hall on Tuesday 14th March. California-born singer/songwriter Cam has emerged as one of the true breakthrough artists of the last year with her first #1 country single, “Burning House”, which earned her GRAMMY®, ACM, CMA and CMT Award nominations and over a million downloads. Her Untamed album, on Arista Nashville/RCA Records, was released in December 2015 and debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with the year’s best first-week album sales by a debut country act. Cam co-wrote 11 of the album tracks and was rewarded with widespread critical acclaim. She kicked off 2016 on Brad Paisley’s Crushin’ It tour and then enjoyed a six-month slot on Dierks Bentley’s Somewhere On A Beach tour.
After dazzling the audiences across C2C2016 CHARLIE WORSHAM is back to perform at C2C again and will follow his appearance with a four date headline tour across the UK starting in Manchester Monday 13th March. This talented young singer-songwriter came to Nashville via his home state of Mississippi and the renowned Berklee School of Music. Last year he made his UK debut (including appearing at the CMA Songwriters Series and opening shows for Kenny Rodgers) when he sang songs from his acclaimed debut album “Rubberband”. He returns in 2017 with new songs from a his sophomore album, called “Beginning Of Things”, recorded with producers Frank Liddell and Eric Masse and a lean but super-talented core band. The record has been described as, “living on country music’s contemporary cutting edge, with echoes of the past that thunder and whirl their way into an electric Southern symphony of guitars, strings, horns, twang, funk, rhythm, smile and snarl.”
As previously announced Canaan Smith will also be hitting the road on his Back For More tour following his hotly tipped appearance at the festival. Canaan was named an Artist To Watch by The Huffington Post, USA Today, Yahoo! Music, Spotify and Rolling Stone. With the singer/songwriter’s first full-length album in 2015, Canaan’s Bronco debuted Top 5 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. The 11-track album includes the RIAA Platinum-certified No. 1 hit “Love You Like That” plus the ultimate country party song, “Hole in the Bottle.” Canaan also toured the U.K. with the popular British duo The Shires last year.
