Nashville Singer/Songwriter’s Political Comedy Album, “Welcome To My Party”, Available For Radio Download

Matt Cline, Nashville’s newest country music funnyman, has been gaining national attention with the release of Welcome To My Party - you may have heard his music already on the Mike Huckabee Show,  and the project is now available in full for radio download on Airplay Direct at www.airplaydirect.com/mattcline.  Cline’s style is in the vein of the legendary Ray Stevens, which is fitting as he has been a writer for Stevens’ publishing company for the past few years and Stevens is a specially featured guest on the album.   Other friends that came to the “party” include country artists Buddy Jewell and Andy Griggs, and the incomparable Steve Cropper.

Beginning with a few notes of “America the Beautiful” as a segue into “Come To The U.S.A,” the album covers everything from taxes to gun control.  While several of the songs take a more conservative stand, there are plenty of non-partisan tunes on here for the independents and democrats alike, such as “A Handshake Will Do”.  Interspersed with the music are recitations of the 2nd Amendment and sections of Ben Franklin’s Parliament Address and the Gettysburg Address.  Regardless of personal political standing, humor manages to bridge the gap on Welcome To My Party.
