FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’S DEBUT ON THE GRAND OLE OPRY IS ICING ON THE CAKE FOR THE NEW DUO

Top-Selling Single, "Cruise," Climbing Radio & Sales Charts Republic Nashville’s hot country rock duo Florida Georgia Line – comprised of Tyler Hubbard from Monroe, GA and Brian Kelley from Ormond Beach, FL – made their Grand Ole Opry debut last Friday night (8/17) on the legendary stage surrounded by their family, friends, fans and team. FGL got the crowd going with a high-energy performance of their up-tempo and playful song “Tip It Back” and closed out the debut with their top-selling single “Cruise.”  Both tunes are from their current EP It’z Just What We Do produced by Joey Moi (Jake Owen, Nickelback). Adding to the week’s excitement, “Cruise” just landed inside the Top 40 on the country airplay charts and is quickly climbing. Since releasing “Cruise,” FGL has been quickly garnering buzz among fans and media alike. With infectious lyrics and a buoyant melody, the single has sold well over 225,000 copies in just four months and is listed in the Top 25 for sales in many major markets. The duo brings a fresh sound to the genre and beyond, combining electrifying, hard-driving rock with honest, expressive lyrics.  FGL’s energetic live show and compelling tunes have gained the attention of headlining acts; Jake Owen, Brantley Gilbert and the annual Country Throwdown Tour previously selected them for coveted opening slots nationwide.
